The Georgia Department of Education is required to gather feedback from parents on the implementation of the program in our state. These meetings are called Parent Advisory Councils or PACs. Each school district receiving money for the Migrant Program schedules PACs during the year to gather this feedback and provide updates on current local initiatives. Additionally, the state conducts regional and statewide PAC meetings to gather feedback from parents on statewide projects and goals. It is important that you attend these meetings to support your child.

The Migrant Family Education Program is required to request the opinion of migrant parents about the implementation of the program in our state. These meetings were referred to as the Migrant Parent Council or PACs. Each school district that receives funding for the program organizes PACs throughout the year to get their input and inform you of the local initiatives they offer. Additionally, the state conducts regional and state PAC meetings to solicit their opinion about the projects and program goals at the state level. It is important that you attend these meetings to support your child.
